The Chautauqua Players

The theatre group is dedicated to exploring and expanding theatre arts at Chautauqua. It sponsors Teen Theatre and is a member of Thespian Troupe A-101, a national fraternity.  Teen Theatre participants should be 13 years old by July 1st.

While live performance gave out to the motion picture, and now visual entertainment can be viewed while driving on mobile phone, there is still a unique difference to the medium of theater.  For those of us who grew up participating, we came to a new confidence that has helped us in daily life.  There is always a need to understand another's point of view and sell a larger vision than just the facts.  Theater is training for the fiction of life.
